Mabel Sewer Improvement
Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department (RWRD) and its contractor Hunter Contracting Company are beginning work on the Mabel Street Sewer Improvement Project located near Pima Community College (PCC) Downtown Campus. This project addresses capacity concerns which were identified in the Speedway Sewer Augmentation Study.
The improvements will occur along Mabel Street between Sixth and Thirteenth avenues. The contractor will install new twelve-inch diameter sewer lines from Tenth Avenue to Thirteenth Avenue, replace the existing eight-inch diameter sewer lines with new twelve-inch lines from Sixth Avenue to Tenth Avenue and install approximately eight new forty-eight-inch diameter manholes.
The project is expected to be completed before the end of 2020.
